HI - Am considering relocating to Barcelona as result of my employment. I have 2 boys aged 8 and 12 and wanted to ask peoples advice on schooling in Barcelona. We won't move until Summer 2019 so they'd enter Y5 and Y9 in UK system if so. Welcome any advice on state system and private/independant also.

There are plenty of bilingual and international schools in Barcelona. many of which teach using British or American curriculum. Check out this page which has a list of international schools in Barcelona.

My family is also relocating to Barcelona for work this summer 2019.
I have done a bit of research on the International Schools and went for St George’s British School but fees are expensive. So, I am also meeting with Princess St Margaret’s school they offer 100% english and older years will start wit 25% (weekly) Spanish and 25% Catalan and will compare those two.
Keen in hearing about desirable areas to live and any playgroups/ activities (my daughter is 4).

Hi NK, if you need to be right in the centre of Barcelona you've got a wide selection of schools - there's a good overall report with reviews here https://www.ischooladvisor.com/blog/view/top-10-international-schools-i… If you don't need to be in the centre, a lot of expats for Sitges which is about 30 mins south - my family live there and it's amazing! There are some good schools too, our are at Olive Tree School https://www.ischooladvisor.com/view/the-olive-tree-school and there's also BSB https://www.ischooladvisor.com/view/the-british-school-of-barcelona - it's a bigger school and has better facilities but Olive Tree is pretty special in terms of how it educates the kids :)
