We are planning to move to Montpellier from South Africa and wish to rent an apartment.  Do the landlords tend to be pet friendly and allows a cat?  This would influence our decision to move kitty across the world or not...  Advice would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same issue but with a dog ))) It all depends on an owner of the property at the end of the day. Some from the beginning tell you that they don't accept any animals at all and some are ok and don't mind it. So it's just a question of looking a little bit more deeper than usual. Good luck!
