I have an upcoming interview for a teaching position at Al-Bayan Bilingual School in Kuwait. I currently live in USA (Virginia).
I am wondering if anyone is a teacher there and can give me information about what it is like working in Kuwait? Do you have any insights into daily life, lifestyle and culture in Kuwait? Do you recommend it?
Can you give me any interview tips (types of questions to be prepared to answer or specifics to ask)? If you are a parent and have a child/children there what has their/your experience been?
Thank you in advance for your time and feedback.
All the best for your interview.

Working in Kuwait may be a little different to what you are used to in the USA. Working week is normally Sunday to Thursday. Dress is also something to consider as it is conservative in Kuwait. Read more about working in Kuwait here. There are both good and bad sides to living in Kuwait, you can check out our pros and cons page for more insights, and at the end of the day it depends on the individual.
As for your interview, likely questions will involve your qualifications, your experience teaching, and familiarity with the certain curriculum. Have a look at their website and what the school values and envisions for their students.
Have you ever visited the Middle East before?
