I am interested in moving to Mozambique but I have a few concerns so I'd like information from those who have experienced life in the country.
What are the safety issues? Which city is best to live and work in?
As with almost anywhere expats need to exercise caution when moving to a new place. Petty crime can be an issue, especially in Maputo which is where most expats live. Be careful not to draw too much attention to yourself and avoid walking alone at night.
For more information about common safety concerns read our Safety in Mozambique page.
When it comes to which city to live in it depends on your preferences as well as your field of work. What type of work are you hoping to do in Mozambique?
