I'm a university prof relocating to Glasgow for the year with my spouse. Can anyone suggest a letting agent who would work for us to locate suitable rental property? We don't arrive until mid August. Would it be better just to wait until we're there to find a place?

Hi there,

It's always best to view the property you're looking to rent before making a commitment. Renting short-term accommodation is a great consideration, as it will allow you to get to know the different areas and suburbs in Glasgow before committing to a long-term rental contract. That said, expat groups on social media, online property portals and the websites of local newspapers are a great place to start the search.

We recommend reading through Accommodation in the UK and Accommodation in Glasgow to familiarise yourself with the rental processes.

I hope this helps and best of luck with the relocation!
